History

1970

Foundation of the company

In 1970, the chartered engineer Erich Schäffer founds the company Erich Schäffer VDI, a sales and engineering office for aggregates and system units in Thierhaupten.

Foundation of Schäffer Verfahrenstechnik

Schäffer Verfahrenstechnik is founded in order to manufacture self-designed equipment under its own management.

1981

2000

New plant

The new plant in Thierhaupten is put into operation.

Expansion

The production and storage area is doubled and a new hall is inaugurated.

2008

2014

Takeover by KREISEL

On February 15, SCHÄFFER Verfahrenstechnik is taken over by KREISEL GmbH & Co. KG.

Relocation

Production of SCHÄFFER® products is relocated to Krauschwitz/Saxony, KREISEL's main site.

Worldwide in use

To this day, SCHÄFFER® products are available to customers all over the world via the Thierhaupten site.
